Bipolar
What is Bipolar? I did not exactly know what this term meant
when the psychiatrist first mentioned it to me.
Bipolar aka Manic/Depressive.
Now that term I have heard before, but really did not know what it meant exactly.
She said Bipolar is a type of mood disorder or abnormality of mood.
We all have moods.
Happiness, sadness, etc. But with this disorder the moods are extreme.
Even dangerous, deadly.
She also said that there they (meaning the medical world) is starting to think
that Bipolar could be hereditary. Great...what about my child?
Is there hope out there?
Medication is one hope I have presented to me.
I do not want to be a medicated person for the rest of my life.
Is there a cure? From what I have read, they do not really
know what causes Bipolar let alone finding a cure.
My psychiatrist has said that I have always had it, but it lay dormant.
It could have lay dormant forever but for some reason....it decided to surface.
Why did it surface? I do not know. As you read in my intro...
things in my life right now are going great.
